Patrick's Birthday

Sarah and I met my brother Mike and his family up at Joe's Crab Shack for dinner, drinks and little celebration of Patrick's 11th birthday. While the service wasn't the best, the meal was pretty damn good. Big pot for 2 of crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob.
After dinner the staff/guests sang happy birthday and Patrick did a little "pony dance". It was either that or a grass hula skirt.

Oh, And About "The Challenge"

"The Challenge" was a bet between Andy and I. I was to lose weight and be under 300lbs and Andy was to bench press over 300lbs by my birthday (December 6). This would be a change of 15%, with me losing 15% of my weight and Andy increasing his bench press by 15%. We started early July and we both started off great.

Well, Andy came the closest with a bench of 300lbs; however, 15% would be 305lbs from where he started. I call that a win in my book. He was more motivated and progressed better. I had a foot injury at the end of August and used that as an excuse, even as Thanksgiving approached when my foot was finally back to 100%.

So the bet is still on, we just haven't picked a new date.

Round 1 goes to you my friend...

Anyway, game on!

That Time Again

I have put it off long enough but it is now time to get back into a workout routine. The time for slacking off is over! I will be changing a few things up, at least for the winter months. Instead of walking outside I will be using an elliptical machine. This should actually provide a better cardio workout since it works out more muscles and my arms; something walking doesn't do well. I will also be adding a dumbbell workout to the push-ups and sit-ups I was doing.

As before, weekly weigh-ins and daily updates will be posted in the progress link on the right.
