Finally...

The Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy gave up it's fight. It will appeal no more. You can read more about that here. This past Friday when it was scheduled to come down, I made one more trip to the site and took a few photos of all that remained.

I forgot my ladder again, but was able to get some good shots even with the covered chain link fence in the way. It helps to be tall and have a camera with a titling LCD screen :) A couple photos turned out pretty good and I deleted the bad ones.

Once all gone and the fences removed, I will return one more time to the corner of Michigan and Trumbull and get a few shots of the ground that once housed Bennett Park (1895 - 1911), and in turn Navin Field (1912 - 1937) which was renamed to Briggs Stadium (1938 - 1960), and finally...renamed Tiger Stadium (1961 - 1999).
