Oh man, what a night!

The Friday night Kid Rock concert was fantastic! The night was already going well; great music, friends and of course, beer (I had $200 in cash with me to start the night; woke up with only $12 this morning, er afternoon. It was 2:40pm when I woke up. I think it is safe to say that I had a few drinks). But during Kid's second encore, guess who came out on stage to sing? That's right...Bob Seger! The two sang "Rock and Roll Never Forgets." Bob looked great, sang even better; fist pumping and leg kicking to the song. I hope Bob tours for his new CD this spring.

I didn't see any celebs in the auidence or while walking to/from Joe Louis Arena. Speaking of walking; how many people do you know that walked on the roads under Cobo (that's a highway) to get to Joe Louis? Well, I can say I know 3. The lines to get into Cobo for the NFL Experience were pretty long; and you needed a ticket. All we wanted to do was cut thru Cobo to get to JLA. Well, instead of doing the smart thing and taking the river front instead of cutting thru, I said lets go this way; and took the highway. Well, it sure gets us to JLA...but it had a 3' high concrete wall to get over; and only in one spot that didn't have 10' drop offs on the other side of the walls. Found a spot that had a grassy hill to walk down on. Interesting to say the least, but won't do that again.

On the way back to where we parked (at the loft I lived at downtown) we wanted to stop and get one more drink. The bar lines were long, packed, crowded and had a cover charge. We managed to get in at Jacoby's on Brush; no cover, and pushed my way to the bar to get us drinks. Ran into mostly locals and Steeler fans. Didn't see anyone with Seahawk stuff accept near Cobo for the NFL Experience
